2-1. Swipe & Touch Gestures
On touch devices, use one-finger and two-finger swipes to move through content, switch desktops (workspaces), and open or close the desk gallery. The default is one finger → content, two fingers → desktop switch.
One finger · horizontal swipe
When one finger is assigned to Content navigation in settings (default), swipe left/right in these areas:
Two fingers · horizontal swipe
When two fingers are assigned to Desktop switch (default), swipe left/right to move to the adjacent workspace.
Two fingers · vertical swipe
Works always with two fingers, regardless of horizontal swipe settings. Swipe quickly (within about 0.5 seconds) and far enough to register.
Change finger roles (Settings)
Settings → Reading preferences → Horizontal/vertical swipe — for each finger count, choose Desktop switch, Content navigation, or Off.
| Fingers | Default (recommended) | Other options |
|---|---|---|
| One finger | Content (chapter, lexicon tabs, analysis verses) | Desktop only / swipe off |
| Two fingers | Desktop switch | Content / swipe off |
If you prefer one hand, you can swap roles (e.g. one finger → desktop, two fingers → content). Vertical gallery gestures (swipe down/up) are not affected by this setting.

Move between words in a verse
After tapping a word in the Bible text, swipe the lexicon header (above the divider) left or right to move to the previous or next word on the same translation line you tapped—not by Strong number order. On Hebrew RTL lines, swipe direction follows reading order. At the first or last word of the verse, the app does not jump to another verse.
